The Bandwidth Revolution Needs a New Manufacturing Model

The global chip industry has long relied on massive, centralized fabrication facilities often costing over $10 billion and taking 5–6 years to build. While these high-volume fabs are essential for sub-4nm digital logic chips, they are unsuited for the fast-moving, specialized needs of radio-frequency (RF), radar, and AI-driven edge applications.

NeutrinoX has developed a unique hybrid manufacturing model optimized for high-quality, low- to mid-volume production of advanced semiconductor devices. Our approach blends advanced 28nm FD-SOI CMOS with Indium Phosphide (InP) and other compound materials to support analog, RF, and millimeter-wave performance at scale. We integrate Electron Beam Lithography (EBL) for critical high-resolution layers with standard photolithography for lower layers achieving both flexibility and cost-efficiency.

Our Fab model is modular, agile, and capital-efficient: each site can be built for under €500M and focuses on 200mm wafers ideal for RF-SoCs, ASICs, and high-performance analog circuits. This enables faster development cycles, lower entry costs, and true European supply chain independence.

Telecom Innovation: Latency, Precision, Intelligence

In the telecom sector, NeutrinoX is redefining what’s possible in high-frequency networking. Our ultra-low latency switches, routers, and optical systems, along with E-Band and D-Band point-to-point radios, are designed for 5G/6G infrastructure, metro transport, and time-sensitive trading and defense applications.

These systems incorporate:

  • White Rabbit PTP / IEEE 1588 synchronization for nanosecond timing accuracy

  • AI-driven predictive algorithms that analyze local environmental data (temperature, motion, pressure)

  • Latency-based routing, dynamically adjusting paths for optimal performance

Everything from our phased array antennas to ASICs, SoCs, and power amplifiers is designed and built in-house, ensuring full control over performance and security.

A New Path to European Semiconductor Sovereignty

The EU has recognized the strategic urgency of reducing dependency on U.S. and Asian semiconductor supply chains. However, rebuilding European chip production requires innovation not duplication. NeutrinoX offers a viable path forward: a decentralized, flexible manufacturing model tailored to Europe’s industrial and security needs.

Unlike digital-only mega fabs focused on GPUs and CPUs, our focus is on RF, analog, radar, and mixed-signal chips—the backbone of secure telecom, aerospace, and defense systems. Our FD-SOI derivative process, allows us to produce at 22–28nm nodes with superior RF characteristics.
